Marcin Świątkiewicz began harpsichord studies with Marek Toporowski at the Academy of Music in Katowice where he studies also composition with Wiesław Cienciała. He currently studies harpsichord with Jacques Ogg and composition with Calliope Tsoupaki and Cornelis de Bondt at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag. Marcin has participated in master classes throughout Europe and Canada including those taught by Chrisophe Rousset, Robert Hill, Luca Guglielmi, Władysław Kłosiewicz, Menno van Delft, Peter van Heyghen and Andreas Spering. He collaborates also with a Chamber Group of the Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Aukso Orchestra and the Akademos Quartet. Recordings of Marcin’s compositions may be found on CD with the Composition Department at the Academy of Music in Katowice and on the musical soundtrack of the short movie “Siciliano” by Paweł Dyllus. |

Daja Leevke Hinrichs studied modern flute with Mirjam Nastasi at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg (State Conservatory), traverso with Karl Kaiser in Frankfurt and with Wilbert Hazelzet at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag. She has performed in master classes with Barthold Kuijken, Kate Clark and Laurence Dean. Daja Leevke performs concerts on the renaissance, baroque, classical and romantic traversi. She played in orchestras like the Mannheimer Hofcapelle, the NJO 19th Century Orchestra and Jeune Orchestra Atlantique. Besides her musical career, Daja Leevke Hinrichs studied modern German literature and German linguistics at the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg and also worked as dramatic advisor and journalist. |

Mark Dupere has studied cello with Thomas Landschoot at Arizona State University, with Phyllis Young at the University of Texas at Austin, and with Jaap ter Linden at the Royal Conservatoire in Den Haag. In the summer of 2005 Mark was named the New Young Artist at the Victoria Bach Festival where he was featured in solo and chamber performances. Mark’s participation in historical performance ensembles includes the St. Cecilia Baroque Orchestra, Nationaal Jeugd Orkest 19th Century Orchestra (Netherlands), Jeune Orchestre Atlantique (Saintes, France) and the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra. In addition to the Netherlands and the U.S., he has performed throughout Europe under conductors Gunther Schuller, Neeme Järvi, Mark Wigglesworth, Enrico Gatti, Robert Levin, Jos van Immerseel and Ton Koopman. |

Haagsche Hofmuzieck was formed as an ensemble in 2005. They have performed in the Netherlands, Germany, Poland and the United States. In 2007 the ensemble was a finalist in the Telemann Competition in Magdeburg, Germany. In their repertoire the ensemble tracks the new and exciting sides to well-known pieces as well as those less-known. In their development as an ensemble they have collaborated with Chris Farr, Wilbert Hazelzet, Peter van Heyghen, Karl Kaiser, Jaques Ogg, Michael Schneider and Jaap ter Linden.

Mechthild Karkow studied violin at the Musikhochschule Lübeck and Winterthur/Zürich with Nora Chastain and at the Musikhochschule Hannover with Ulf Schneider where she graduated with distinction in 2005. Mechthild has been studying the practice of historical performance and baroque violin with Monika Baer, Anne Röhrig, John Holloway, Simon Standage and Anton Steck since 2002. She has been extending this main focus since 2006 in a postgraduate study of "Historische Interpretationspraxis" in baroque violin with Petra Müllejans at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt. She has performs with various Early Music Ensembles all over Europe and has played at the Internationale Händel-Festspiele Göttingen, Neues Forum für Alte Musik Zürich, York Early Music Festival and Festival International Echternach (Luxembourg) amongst others. She also plays in baroque orchestras like Orchestra La Scintilla, Hannoversche Hofkapelle, European Union Baroque Orchestra, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and the Freiburger Barockorchester. Mechthild is the winner (ex aequo) of the International Competition for Baroque Violin “Bonporti 2007” in Rovereto, Italy.
Benoit Laurent began early musical studies on the modern oboe and the recorder. In May of 1999 the musical ensemble he founded, “Olwen,” won the “Music Live” competition. They also participated in the “Who’s Next” festival later that year in Malmö. Also in 1999 Benoit began recorder study with F. de Roos at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and modern oboe with Syvain Cremers at the Royal Conservatory of Mons. He eventually switched to baroque and classical oboe, studying with Paul Dombrecht and Ann VanLanker. Benoit continued his baroque oboe study with Michael Niesemann at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg. He is currently active as a baroque oboe soloist and plays regularly in period instrument ensembles, including Concerto Köln, Les Muffatti, Die Kölner Academie, La Cetra d’Orfeo, and Les Agremens. Benoit has performed on modern oboe with Neue Philarmonie Köln, Ensemble Orchestral de Bruxelles, and Les Muses. |
